Aloha everyone!!
I hope you all have been having a FANTASTIC 2017! Mine has been pretty great :) I am now approaching the end of my 4th transfer here in Ontario, and President says I'm most likely going to be leaving because I've been here for so long haha. It is kind of weird getting moved around all the time and not having any idea where you're going or who you are going to be spending literally every second of your time with. But you know, you just put your trust in God that everything will be alright, and so far it has been. Sure, there are ups and downs, but that's just a part of life. Life is full of pain and sorrow, but it's also full of love and happiness, and that is absolutely beautiful to me.
Something kind of interesting happened to Elder Golden and me on Sunday. It started off as an ordinary until our 3rd hour of church, when we saw an old familiar face walk in to our Priesthood meeting. It was our old investigator, Joseph. Yes, this was the very Joseph that blew up at us, threatened to kill Elder Golden, and cussed us out over the phone for multiple hours, resulting in us talking to President Taylor, who advised us not to see him anymore and not to respond to his calls or texts. That Joseph. I was honestly pretty nervous when he walked in, but it honestly wasn't bad at all. He sat through Elders quorum with us then wanted to talk with us privately afterwards. He said he came to make amends with us and gave us each a sincere apology. I thought that was really cool of him.
Another cool thing that happened this week is that we saw another Joseph that we used to teach! He was our neighbor at our apartment complex and was the one who I pulled to the church on my bike Napoleon Dynamite style while he was on his roller blades. He had moved to Las Vegas a few months ago, but that didn't end up working out so he's back! He's still figuring out where he is going to permanently stay, but it was cool to catch up with him.
We helped Sergio scrape paint off the ceiling of his patio, which was some tough work. He lives in a historical house that is 100 years old (it has a plaque and everything) and there are many layers of paint that are really stubborn. We barely made a dent, so we will probably help him our some more with that this week.
I got to go on exchanges with Elder Landon Mann, who I went to Jr High with. Small world eh??
Stay positive and love your life!!
Aloha ke Akua
