Christmas Time!

Man, Christmas really is an awesome time of the year! It really is a time where everyone can come together in unity are share that Christ-like love one to another. Even though my family is 3,000 miles away, I still had the chance to visit them in the living room on the big screen. Best gift a missionary could ask for :) Throughout Christmas eve and  Christmas day we spend a lot of time caroling to members and investigators and sharing a nice Christmas message with them! As my good friend Buddy says, "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear."

We also had a lot of good things going on besides all the Christmas things! There is this really nice lady we've been teaching that has before said that she has her own church, but likes having us over, now she's strongly considering baptism! There is a man we've been teaching that says he has had spiritual confirmation that us coming over to his house is helping him. We've talked to a couple people that have been taught by missionaries before and want to start taking the lessons again. We've got a lot of small seeds planted!

Last P-day we went out to the dunes and did some dirt sledding. That was a pretty good time! Also on Sunday we visited a really nice family from the ward and had little music session. I played Aloha Ke Akua on guitar for the first time in months and it felt so good!

Merry Christmas!!!

There's people of Walmart.. and then there's people of Barstow Walmart.

Ah, but things are going great here in the Promised land of Barstow!  A lot of cool things are happening. The other day we brought a guy from the ward to help teach our new investigator, JJ. Turns out him and JJ are friends and used to play music together! That was a pretty cool reunion when we came in the door. We were able to have a really awesome lesson.

I was reading a talk the other day from Thomas S. Monson titled, Finding Joy in the Journey. Often times we find ourselves looking for tomorrow and thinking that's when we'll be happy. He quotes the music man and says “You pile up enough tomorrows, and you’ll find you’ve collected a lot of empty yesterdays.” Life is pretty cool and it's easy to take for granted all the little things that we have. Don't wait for tomorrow to be happy.. Be happy now!

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas! Remember to share your love with all your family and friends! Remember that Jesus always has and always will love you. It's really quite remarkable.

Stay Positive and love your life!!
