Baptize Barstow Baby

"Don't waste your hate
Rather gather and create
Be of Service
Be a sensible person
Use your words and don't be nervous
You can do this you've got purpose
Find your medicine and use it"

Aloha!

This has been another great week here in Barstow! We had someone from a Samoan family in the ward just return from his mission in Hawaii. and they they put together a really nice dinner for him. Okay, that is an understatement.. they put on a full-on luau!! They hired a DJ and everything! The Cultural hall at the church was bursting with the Aloha spirit that evening! They had set up the head table as the "missionary table" for missionaries, soon to be missionaries that have their call, and returned missionaries. Man, they treated us like royalty. They had a HUGE island buffet, but they brought us missionaries our food on our own platter and it had to have been the biggest plate of food I've had in my life. As part of the program they had some family members do a hula and then the boys went up and did the Hakka. It was really cool. I think they're trying to make me trunky ;)

But we really do have some good work going on down here. We just staring teachig these two families together that have so many kinds. ( at least 10 all together) It's really cool how some people are just willing to let you right in to start teaching them. We've picked up quite a few investigators, it's almost hard to manage them all!

Elder Coombs and I went down to the Newberry Springs branch on Sunday to give talks. This is my 4th talk I've given on my mission so far, and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Writing talks used to really stress me out, but now it's really not bad.

Stay positive and love your life!!

Much love,
Elder Johnson
